Conciliar Bishop Promotes Naturalistic Immigrationism Under Guise of Benedictine Hospitality
The National Catholic Register portal reports that the conciliar “bishop” Erik Varden of Trondheim addressed the Nordic “Bishops’ Conference” on September 22, 2026, advocating a “balanced approach” to immigration that rejects “ethnic purity” while invoking St. Benedict’s Rule and the modernist Catechism to impose reciprocal duties on migrants. The “bishop,” who previously led “pope” Leo XIV’s Lenten exercises, frames national identity as a mutable “process of attentive becoming” rather than a divinely ordained substrate for the Social Kingship of Christ. This address epitomizes the conciliar sect’s capitulation to secular globalism: it substitutes supernatural charity with humanitarian sentiment, replaces the Catholic confessional State with a multicultural management scheme, and instrumentalizes monastic spirituality to legitimize the demographic replacement of Christendom.
The Conciliar Hierarchy as Agents of the Anti-Christian World Order
The very platform of this discourse—the “Nordic Bishops’ Conference” under the presidency of an antipope—exposes its nullity ab origine. Since the usurpation of the Holy See by John XXIII in 1958, the structures occupying the Vatican have constituted a paramasonic structure dedicated to the demolition of the Corpus Christi. “Bishop” Varden, ordained in the invalid Novus Ordo rite (1994) and consecrated by the heretical “bishop” Bernt Ivar Eidsvig (2020), possesses no jurisdiction, no sacramental character, and no mission from Christ. He is a functionary of the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel (9:27) and confirmed by St. Paul (2 Thess 2:3-4). His “Lenten exercises” for the antipope Leo XIV (Robert Prevost) are but a ritual of the synagogue of Satan (Apoc 2:9), sealing the apostasy of the conciliar sect.
The Register’s description of Varden as “bishop of Trondheim” and “prelate” is a lie that serves the operatio erroris (2 Thess 2:10) by which the faithful are deceived into recognizing the neo-church as the Church. As Pius IX teaches in the Syllabus of Errors (Prop. 37), “National churches, withdrawn from the authority of the Roman pontiff and altogether separated, can be established” is a condemned error; yet the conciliar sect has established precisely such a national church in Norway, severed from the true Roman Pontiff and subject to the Masonic United Nations agenda.
Reduction of the Church’s Mission to Naturalistic Humanism
Varden’s address is a masterpiece of laicism condemned by Pius XI in Quas Primas: “The Church’s authority to teach men, to issue laws, to govern nations… was denied. And then, slowly, the Christian religion began to be equated with other false religions and shamelessly placed in the same category.” The “bishop” speaks not as a successor of the Apostles charged with docere, sanctificare, regere for eternal salvation, but as a social worker managing “uncertainty,” “energy crisis,” “refugees,” and “social fabric that is rending.” Not a word on sin, grace, the Four Last Things, or the necessity of the Catholic Faith for salvation (Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus). The “common good” he invokes is purely temporal—welfare systems, industries, services—stripped of its supernatural finality.
Pius XI declares: “The state is happy not by one means, and man by another; for the state is nothing else than a harmonious association of men… Let rulers of states therefore not refuse public veneration and obedience to the reigning Christ.” Varden inverts this: he demands that the State manage “integration” while the Church surrenders its right to demand public recognition of Christ’s Kingship. His “two loyalties”—local tradition and “universal Church”—are a Masonic parody of the true dual citizenship: the City of God and the city of man, where the latter must be subordinated to the former (Syllabus, Prop. 55: “The Church ought to be separated from the State, and the State from the Church” — condemned).
Idolatry of “Ethnic Purity” as Straw Man to Destroy Catholic Nationhood
Varden’s condemnation of “the chimaera of ethnic purity” and “idolizing… real or imagined roots” is a calculated equivocation. Catholic theology never taught “ethnic purity” as a political principle; it taught the Christianitas of nations—the baptismal incorporation of peoples into the Mystical Body, producing a Christian culture, law, and identity. The Syllabus (Prop. 39) condemns: “The State, as being the origin and source of all rights, is endowed with a certain right not circumscribed by any limits.” Varden’s “balanced approach” grants the State absolute discretion over demographics, denying the Church’s right to defend the Catholic character of a nation.
By labeling defense of national identity as “ancestor worship,” “idolatry,” “narrow-mindedness,” and “resentment,” Varden adopts the rhetoric of the Masonic lodges and the Frankfurt School. He echoes the Lamentabili sane exitu condemned proposition 58: “Truth changes with man, because it develops with him, in him, and through him.” For Varden, national identity is a fluid “process of attentive becoming,” not a providential given to be sanctified. This is the hermeneutic of rupture applied to sociology: the nation has no essence, only a “narrative” to be rewritten by migrants.
Instrumentalization of St. Benedict for Secular Border Management
The citation of the Rule of St. Benedict (c. 53) is a sacrilegious profanation. St. Benedict legislated for a monastery—a schola dominici servitii ordered to quaerere Deum under the regula et abbas. The guest is received “as Christ” (Suscepti hospites tamquam Christus) because the monk sees Christ in the poor in fide. Varden transposes this supernatural economy into a bureaucratic protocol for the nation-State: “motives must be tested,” “generosity and determination” required. This is naturalism pure and simple—the very error of the Syllabus (Prop. 3, 4, 57): “Human reason… is the sole arbiter of truth… Philosophy is to be treated without taking any account of supernatural revelation.”
The Rule cannot be “applied to the nation state” because the State is not a monastery. The State’s duty, per Quas Primas and the constant Magisterium (Gelasius I, Boniface VIII, Leo XIII, Pius XI), is to recognize Christ as King, conform its laws to the Divine Law, and protect the Church’s liberty. A Catholic prince does not “test motives” of invaders; he defends the respublica Christiana against those who threaten the Faith. Charlemagne did not “integrate” the Saxons by Benedictine hospitality; he converted them by the sword of the Spirit and the temporal sword, for salus animarum suprema lex.
The Modernist Catechism as Tool of Subversion
Varden quotes “Catechism of the Catholic Church (2241)”—a document promulgated by the antipope John Paul II in 1992, riddled with Modernist errors condemned by St. Pius X in Pascendi and Lamentabili. The “duties” of immigrants there listed—respect heritage, obey laws, assist civic burdens—are purely civil, devoid of the primary duty: conversion to the true Faith. The true Catechism (Trent, St. Pius X) teaches that the immigrant, like all men, is bound to seek the truth and embrace the Catholic Church. The conciliar “catechism” reduces this to “civic integration,” a Masonic ideal.
Moreover, the “Catechism” (2241) states: “Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions.” Varden omits this entirely. He emphasizes the “solemn duties” of migrants but is silent on the State’s right—and duty—to restrict, select, and expel. This one-sidedness reveals the agenda: open borders under a veneer of “reciprocity.”
Silence on Islam: The Elephant in the Sacristy
The Register notes Varden “omitted to specifically mention illegal immigration or concerns over the effects of Islamic culture.” This silence is deafening and damning. Norway faces an existential threat from Islamic colonization—demographic, cultural, and spiritual. A true bishop would denounce Islam as a secta perditionis (St. John of Damascus, De Haeresibus), a diabolical counterfeit of revelation that denies the Trinity, the Incarnation, and the Redemption. He would demand the State prohibit the public exercise of a false religion (Syllabus, Prop. 77, 78 condemned: “In the present day it is no longer expedient that the Catholic religion should be held as the only religion of the State… it has been wisely decided by law… that persons coming to reside therein shall enjoy the public exercise of their own peculiar worship”).
Varden’s silence is complicity. By framing the issue as “strangers” and “hospitality,” he equates the Muslim invader with the Christian pilgrim. This is the ecumenism condemned by Pius XI in Mortalium Animos (1928): “The Apostolic See cannot take part in… assemblies… founded on the false opinion that all religions are more or less good and praiseworthy.” The “universal Church” Varden invokes is the Masonic “universal religion” of the Alta Vendita, not the Una, Sancta, Catholica, Apostolica.
Demographic Suicide as “Humility” and “Gratitude”
Varden’s argument that declining birth rates necessitate immigration—”without migrants, our services, industries and welfare systems would collapse”—is a confession of the conciliar sect’s complicity in the demographic suicide of the West. The “bishop” calls this a reason for citizens to be “humble” and “grateful” for immigrants. This is perversio ordinis. The collapse of birth rates is the direct fruit of the conciliar sect’s betrayal of Casti Connubii (1930) and Humanae Vitae (1968)—its silence on contraception, abortion, and the destruction of the family. Now it uses the catastrophe it enabled to justify the replacement of the native Catholic (or at least Christian) population by Muslims.
Pius XI in Quas Primas warns: “When God and Jesus Christ… were removed from laws and states… the foundations of that authority were destroyed… the entire human society had to be shaken.” Varden’s “culture of life” rhetoric is a sham; the conciliar sect’s “bishops” routinely commune pro-abortion politicians, bless “same-sex unions,” and promote the UN’s “reproductive health” agenda. Their “gratitude” for migrants is gratitude for the demographic weapon wielded by the Masonic elite against Christendom.
The “Populist” Scapegoat and the Defense of the Elite
Varden’s analysis of “populism” as a reaction to “distant elite” ignores that the conciliar hierarchy is that elite. The “bishops” of the Nordic Conference are appointed by the antipope, funded by State church taxes, and integrated into the globalist NGO network. They are the “distant elite” who have ignored the cries of the faithful for the True Mass, sound doctrine, and defense of the Faith. Their “constructive vision and realistic strategy” is the Agenda 2030, the Global Compact for Migration, the Great Reset.
The “bishop” condemns “identity politics” while practicing the ultimate identity politics: the erasure of Catholic identity. He vilifies those who “fall outside a set of narrow conditions given for belonging”—but the only “narrow condition” for belonging to the Church is baptism and profession of the integral Faith. Varden widens the gate to include all “new members” bringing “artistic, scientific and cultural riches,” making the Church a cultural salon rather than the Ark of Salvation.
Sedevacantist Verdict: No Legitimacy, No Authority, No Salvation in the Conciliar Sect
From the perspective of the integral Catholic Faith—the only criterion—this address is a document of apostasy. “Bishop” Varden is a pseudo-episcopus, a blind guide leading the blind into the pit (Mt 15:14). His “balanced approach” is the broad way that leads to destruction (Mt 7:13). The true Catholic response to immigration is not “hospitality” managed by the Masonic State, but the Social Kingship of Christ implemented by a Catholic confessional State that:
1. Recognizes the Catholic Church as the only true religion (Syllabus, Prop. 21 condemned).
2. Prohibits the public propagation of false religions (Islam, Protestantism, Judaism, etc.).
3. Conditions residency on respect for the Catholic moral order and the common good defined supernaturally.
4. Prioritizes the conversion of immigrants over their “integration.”
5. Restores the Christendom destroyed by the Revolution, of which the conciliar sect is the final stage.
The faithful must reject this “bishop,” his “pope,” his “Catechism,” his “conferences,” and his “spiritual exercises.” They must cleave to the Tradition preserved by valid bishops and priests who hold the sede vacante position, knowing that “the gates of hell shall not prevail” (Mt 16:18) against the true Church, however small the remnant. Non praevalebunt.
