Conciliar Bureaucrats Beg EU to Preserve Baptismal Data While Ignoring Apostasy

The National Catholic Register (NCR) reports that the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Union (COMECE), the supranational bureaucratic organ of the conciliar sect, has issued a statement lamenting the non-binding opinion of Advocate General Laila Medina at the Court of Justice of the EU (Case C-12/25, Bisdom Gent). The opinion suggests that a Belgian apostate may invoke EU data protection law to compel the erasure of his name from the baptismal register. COMECE frets that this creates “significant legal uncertainty for ecclesiastical data controllers” and departs from the “consistent national jurisprudence” of adding a marginal annotation. The statement cites the antipope Leo XIV (Robert Prevost) invoking Article 17 TFEU on “secularism” in a speech in Metz. This entire spectacle manifests the total capitulation of the conciliar sect to the secular city, reducing the indelible sacramental character of Baptism to a mere “data entry” subject to the General Data Protection Regulation, and pleading for “autonomy” before a Masonic tribunal that recognizes no law higher than the will of man.

The Conciliar Sect’s Subservience to the Secular City

The very existence of COMECE—a permanent liaison office between the conciliar episcopates and the European Union—is a living condemnation of the post-conciliar church’s voluntary servitude to the Civitas Terrena. Pius XI, in Quas Primas, thundered that “when God and Jesus Christ… were removed from laws and states and when authority was derived not from God but from men, the foundations of that authority were destroyed”. He warned that “the entire human society had to be shaken, because it lacked a stable and strong foundation”. Yet here we find the “bishops” of the EU not proclaiming the Kingship of Christ over the European project, but lobbying the Court of Justice in Luxembourg as supplicants begging for a procedural carve-out for their “data controllers.”

The Syllabus of Pius IX explicitly condemns the proposition that “The Church is not a true and perfect society, entirely free… but it appertains to the civil power to define what are the rights of the Church, and the limits within which she may exercise those rights” (Error 19). It condemns the claim that “The ecclesiastical power ought not to exercise its authority without the permission and assent of the civil government” (Error 20). COMECE’s statement—mewling about “legal uncertainty” and “the relevance of Church autonomy”—accepts the very premise condemned by Pius IX: that the Church’s rights are concessions granted or delimited by the secular power. By arguing the case on the terrain of EU law (GDPR, TFEU Article 17), the conciliar sect acknowledges the competence of the Masonic European Union to adjudicate the administration of the sacraments. This is not the libertas Ecclesiae of the saints; it is the servitus modernismi.

Reduction of the Sacramental Character to “Personal Data”

The linguistic rot is itself theological apostasy. The COMECE statement speaks of “baptismal data,” “data subject,” “erasure requests,” and “ecclesiastical data controllers.” Baptism is not a data processing operation. It is the sacramentum regenerationis, which imprints on the soul a character indelebilis (indelible character) configuring the baptized to Christ the High Priest. The Council of Trent defines: “If anyone says that in the three sacraments… a character is not imprinted in the soul… let him be anathema” (Sess. VII, Can. 9). This character cannot be erased by any human power, not by the apostate’s whim, not by a Belgian court, not by the Advocate General, not by the antipope himself.

The article notes the “standard practice has been to make a marginal note recording the interested party’s wish, without erasing the person’s data.” This marginal annotation is itself a modernist concession, a bureaucratic simulacrum of the ancient discipline whereby the liber baptizatorum was a permanent testament to the action of God. To treat the register as a database subject to the “right to be forgotten” (GDPR Art. 17) is to deny the opus operatum efficacy of the sacrament. As St. Augustine taught against the Donatists: “The sacrament is one thing, its fruit another… the character remains even in the wicked” (Contra Epist. Parmeniani, II, 28). The conciliar “bishops” do not defend the character; they defend the record as an administrative artifact.

The Illusion of “Church Autonomy” in the Masonic European Union

COMECE claims the opinion “impinge[s] upon the relevance of Church autonomy and of its freedom of religion.” This is the language of Dignitatis Humanae, the conciliar heresy that makes religious liberty a civil right derived from human dignity rather than a duty owed to the Truth. The Syllabus condemns: “The Church ought to be separated from the State, and the State from the Church” (Error 55). The European Union is the political realization of this condemned error—a construct founded on the laïcité of the French Revolution, the Kulturkampf of Bismarck, and the Masonic project of a United States of Europe without God.

By invoking “Church autonomy” within the EU legal order, COMECE legitimizes the usurpation of Christ’s Kingship. Pius XI taught: “His reign encompasses also all non-Christians, so that most truly the entire human race is subject to the authority of Jesus Christ” (Quas Primas, citing Leo XIII). The true Church does not ask Caesar for “autonomy” to keep her registers; she declares that Caesar has no jurisdiction over the liber vitae of the Lamb. The conciliar sect’s plea for “legal certainty” is the plea of a department of the secular state, not the Bride of Christ.

The Antipope’s Invocation of Secularist Treaties

The article reveals that “Pope Leo XIV, in a recent speech delivered in Metz, France, cited Article 17 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU), noting ‘that the principle of secularism governing the life of states also presupposes respect by national and European authorities for the autonomy of the Churches.'” This is blasphemy compounded. Robert Prevost, the usurper of the See of Peter, stands in Metz—the city of the 843 Treaty of Verdun that shattered Christendom—and endorses the principle of secularism (laïcité) as the governing norm of states.

Pius IX’s Syllabus condemns: “The Roman Pontiff can, and ought to, reconcile himself, and come to terms with progress, liberalism and modern civilization” (Error 80). Prevost does precisely this: he “reconciles” the papacy to the TFEU, the constitutional charter of the anti-Christian European project. Article 17 TFEU establishes a “dialogue” between the EU and “churches and religious communities” on the basis of equal footing with “philosophical and non-confessional organizations.” It reduces the Ark of Salvation to an NGO. By citing this article favorably, the antipope publicly abjures the Social Kingship of Christ defined in Quas Primas and embraces the Masonic separation of Church and State. He confirms the verdict of Cum ex Apostolatus Officio: a manifest heretic elevated to the papacy is null, void, and of no effect.

Silence on the Horror of Apostasy and the Indelible Mark

Nowhere in the COMECE statement, nor in the NCR report, is there a word about the spiritual catastrophe of the Belgian apostate. The man has defected from the faith (defectio a fide). Canon 188.4 of the 1917 Code (cited in the Defense of Sedevacantism file) declares that an office becomes vacant ipso facto if a cleric “publicly defects from the Catholic faith.” The same principle applies to the lay faithful: by formal apostasy, he has severed himself from the Mystical Body. The baptismal register records a factum—that on a certain day, this man was incorporated into Christ. That fact is irrevocable in the order of being. To erase the name is to lie about history and to deny the theology of the character.

The “bishops” express concern for “the interests and rights of third parties—referring to parents, godparents, or the priest administering the sacrament.” This is a naturalistic deflection. The true victim is the apostate’s own soul, facing iudicium aeternum. The true offense is against the Majestas Dei. The silence on peccatum mortale, on anathema sit, on the poena aeterna awaiting the unrepentant apostate, proves that the conciliar hierarchy no longer believes in Hell. They are functionaries of a humanitarian NGO managing “communities of faith,” not successors of the Apostles guarding the depositum fidei.

The Marginal Annotation: A Modernist Compromise, Not a Catholic Solution

COMECE boasts that “consistent national jurisprudence in the EU Member States has accepted this practice [marginal annotation] as an entirely adequate legal solution.” This reveals the juridical positivism of the conciliar mind. The marginal note—”X has left the Church”—is treated as a “solution” balancing the “data subject’s rights” and the “Church’s interest.” In reality, it is a capitulation to the lie. The register should bear witness to the truth: “N. baptizatus est die X… nunc autem apostata est, nisi resipiscat” (N. was baptized on day X… now however he is an apostate, unless he repents). The marginal note sanitizes the apostasy, making it a mere administrative status change, like moving house.

Lamentabili Sane Exitu (1907) condemns the Modernist proposition: “The dogmas which the Church proposes as revealed are not truths of divine origin but are a certain interpretation of religious facts, which the human mind has worked out with great effort” (Prop. 22). The conciliar treatment of the baptismal register as a mutable database reflects this heresy: the “fact” of baptism is reduced to a human record, revisable at the subject’s request. The true Church guards the register as a monumentum aeternum, a testimony to God’s fidelity even when man is faithless (2 Tim 2:13).

Conclusion: The Abomination of Desolation in the Administrative State

This affair is a microcosm of the Great Apostasy. The structures occupying the Vatican (COMECE, the “episcopal conferences,” the antipope) have no supernatural mission. They are departments of the Masonic New World Order, administering the “opiate of the people” for the European Superstate. They speak the language of GDPR, TFEU, “data controllers,” “legal uncertainty,” and “stakeholders.” They have forgotten the language of Pater Noster, Credo, Anathema, Regnum Christi.

The faithful remnant must understand: the baptismal registers in conciliar parishes are already compromised, kept by ministers of a false rite (the Novus Ordo Missae), under the authority of invalidly ordained “priests” and heretical “bishops,” in communion with an antipope. The erasure of a name by a EU court order is merely the secular ratification of the spiritual erasure already accomplished by the conciliar revolution. “Where the body is, there the eagles will be gathered” (Mt 24:28). The true liber vitae is written in heaven (Lk 10:20), kept by the true bishops and priests who preserve the Traditio without admixture. Let the conciliar sect fight its bureaucratic battles in Luxembourg; the City of God has no need of their “legal certainty.”
