Apostolic Throne Usurped in Mock Consistory of Conciliar Sect

The Vatican News portal (January 6, 2026) reports that antipope Leo XIV (Robert Prevost) will hold his first “extraordinary consistory” on January 7-8 with members of the pseudo-College of “Cardinals.” The closed-door meetings in the “Synod Hall” will discuss five topics: “Evangelii Gaudium and the Church’s missionary character; the apostolic constitution Praedicate Evangelium; the role of the Curia and its relationship with the particular Churches; synodality; and the liturgy”. The event culminates with a sacrilegious “concelebrated” Mass at the Novus Ordo “Altar of the Chair” in St. Peter’s Basilica. This grotesque parody of apostolic governance exposes the accelerating decomposition of the conciliar sect’s theological bankruptcy.

Naturalization of the Church’s Divine Mission

The elevation of Bergoglio’s Evangelii Gaudium as a guiding document constitutes doctrinal apostasy. This 2013 manifesto reduces the Church’s mission to social activism, declaring: “The Church is called to be the house of the Father, with doors always wide open […] where there is a place for everyone, with all their problems” (EG 47). Contrast this with Pius XI’s encyclical Quas Primas (1925): “When once men recognize, both in private and in public life, that Christ is King, society will at last receive the great blessings of real liberty” (§19). The conciliar sect replaces the regnum Christi with a humanitarian NGO, systematically omitting any reference to the Social Kingship of Christ the King – the very foundation of Catholic social order condemned by Vatican II’s Declaration on Religious Freedom (Dignitatis Humanae).

Demolition of Apostolic Governance

The discussion of Praedicate Evangelium continues the conciliar revolution against the Church’s divine constitution. This 2022 document by antipope Bergoglio dismantles the Roman Curia’s role as guardian of doctrine, merging the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith into a bloated “Dicastery for Evangelization.” As St. Pius X warned in Pascendi Dominici Gregis (1907): “Modernists completely invert the parts, and of them may be applied the words which another of Our predecessors Gregory IX used of the false prophets of his time: ‘Some among them, puffed up like bladders, strive to profane the sacred as well as the secular'” (§2). The very term “synodality” betrays the sect’s anti-hierarchical essence – a Protestant-style rebellion against Pastor Aeternus (1870), which declared papal primacy as “ordained by God’s dispensation” (Ch. 3).

Liturgical Abomination Concealed Behind Closed Doors

The article’s vague reference to “liturgy” discussions ominously suggests fresh assaults on Catholic worship. The “Synod Hall” setting itself is symbolic – the same venue where Bergoglio’s “Synod on Synodality” approved blessing homosexual unions. When the conciliar sect mentions “liturgical renewal,” it invariably means further desacralization. Compare this with Pius XII’s encyclical Mediator Dei (1947): “The liturgy is nothing other than the exercise of the priestly office of Jesus Christ […] the whole public worship is performed by the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ, that is, by the Head and His members” (§20). The planned “concelebration” at the Novus Ordo “Altar of the Chair” completes this sacrilege, reducing the Holy Sacrifice to a communal meal – precisely the modernist error condemned in Pius XII’s Humani Generis (1950) as “false opinions threatening to undermine the foundations of Catholic doctrine” (§16).

Symptomatic Silence on Supernatural Realities

The Vatican News report exhibits all the hallmarks of conciliar apostasy through calculated omissions:

  1. No mention of sanctifying grace – The entire proceedings presume a naturalistic ecclesiology where the Church exists merely as human institution rather than the Mystical Body of Christ (Pius XII, Mystici Corporis, 1943).
  2. Eclipse of the Four Last Things – Nowhere appears the Church’s true mission: to save souls from hell through the sacraments. As the Council of Trent solemnly defined: “If anyone says that sacraments are not necessary for salvation […] let him be anathema” (Session VII, Canon 4).
  3. Absence of Mary’s mediating role – The counterfeit “collegiality” excludes the Blessed Virgin, contrary to Leo XIII’s encyclical Octobri Mense (1891): “Mary is this glorious intermediary; she is the mighty Mother of the Almighty; but – what is still sweeter – she is gentle, extreme in tenderness, of a limitless loving-kindness”.

Ecclesiological Deconstruction in Progress

The closed-door nature of these meetings (“proceedings will take place behind closed doors”) reveals the conciliar sect’s gnostic character. True Catholic governance operates coram Ecclesia (before the Church), as demonstrated by all 21 ecumenical councils. This secrecy facilitates further doctrinal corruption, precisely as St. Pius X identified in modernist methods: “They display a certain contempt for Catholic doctrines, or the Holy Fathers, for the Ecumenical Councils, for the ecclesiastical magisterium; and should they be rebuked for this, they complain that they are being deprived of their liberty” (Lamentabili Sane, 1907, Intro). The presence of “cardinals” created by antipopes Bergoglio and Prevost completes the farce – these men lack both legitimacy and Catholic faith, having publicly espoused heresies from religious indifferentism to communion for adulterers.

The counterfeit Mass at St. Peter’s constitutes objectively sacrilegious worship. As the Holy Office decreed under Pius XII (1953): “Where the new rites have been introduced, not only is there a danger of heresy but the Catholic Faith is already undermined” (Instruction Ecclesia Catholica). This “consistory” marks another milestone in the conciliar sect’s accelerating apostasy – a perfect inversion of Cardinal Pie’s warning: “The world will not have peace until it bends its knees before Christ the King.” True Catholics recognize this structure as the mysterium iniquitatis foretold in Scripture (2 Thess 2:7), and heed Pius X’s command: “In our time more than ever before, the chief strength of the wicked lies in the cowardice and weakness of good men […] all the strength of Satan’s reign is due to the easy-going weakness of Catholics” (Vehementer Nos, 1906).
