Micah Reduced to Naturalistic Ethics: Conciliar Scripture Commentary Exposes Apostasy
The National Catholic Register portal publishes a commentary by Regis Martin, a “professor of theology” at the conciliar Franciscan University of Steubenville, on the prophet Micah. The text presents a subjective, devotional reading of Micah 6:8, stripped of all dogmatic density, sacramentality, and ecclesial necessity, citing the Modernist constitution *Dei Verbum* as its hermeneutical norm. It reduces the whole Christian life to a vague triad of natural virtues—doing right, loving goodness, walking humbly—silently discarding the necessitas medii of the Church, the Sacrifice of the Mass, and the extra Ecclesiam nulla salus dogma.
