The National Catholic Register (CNA) reports that the “archbishop” of Aracaju, Josafá Menezes da Silva, has issued a decree regulating the use of artificial intelligence in archdiocesan communications. Dated August 31, 2026, the directive cites the “magisterium” of the usurpers Leo XIV (Robert Prevost) and Francis (Bergoglio) — specifically the encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, the 60th World Communications Day message, and the document Antiqua et Nova — to mandate human review of AI-generated content, transparency labeling, and a ban on simulating the appearance or voice of “clergy.” The “archbishop” concludes by invoking Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. This bureaucratic micromanagement of digital simulacra by a manifest heretic devoid of jurisdiction exposes the conciliar sect’s total inversion of priorities: it polices pixels while the Faith is demolished.
The Usurpation of Jurisdiction and the Nullity of Conciliar “Law”
The very premise of the decree — that a “bishop” of the post-conciliar structure possesses legislative authority — is a juridical fiction refuted by the immutable canons of the Church. Canon 188.4 of the 1917 Code, binding until a true Pope restores it, declares that an office becomes vacant ipso facto by public defection from the Catholic faith. As Fr. McDevitt and Ayrinhac confirm, this defection requires no formal joining of another sect; public heresy suffices. The “archbishop” Menezes da Silva, by recognizing the antipopes John XXIII through Leo XIV as legitimate Vicars of Christ, by implementing the heresies of Vatican II (religious liberty, false ecumenism, collegiality), and by celebrating the invalid Novus Ordo Missae, has publicly defected from the Faith. He holds no office. His “decree” possesses the canonical weight of a private opinion.
Pope Paul IV’s Bull Cum ex Apostolatus Officio settles the matter definitively: if a “Bishop, even if he be acting as an Archbishop… prior to his promotion… has defected from the Catholic Faith or fallen into some heresy: (i) his promotion or elevation… shall be null, void, and of no effect.” The Bull requires no declaratory sentence; the defection itself effects the nullity. St. Robert Bellarmine teaches that a manifest heretic ceases to be a member of the Church and thus cannot be its head: “A non-Christian in no way can be Pope… he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian… therefore, a manifest heretic cannot be Pope” (De Romano Pontifice 2:30). The example of Nestorius, condemned by Pope Celestine I, confirms that a heretic loses the power to bind from the moment he begins to preach heresy, before any declaration by the Church. Menezes da Silva is a layman masquerading as a prelate; his “guidelines” bind no Catholic conscience.
Modernist “Magisterium” as Source: A Stream of Poisoned Water
The decree explicitly grounds itself in the “magisterium” of the antipopes. It cites Magnifica Humanitas (Leo XIV), Antiqua et Nova (Francis), and the 60th World Communications Day message. These documents are not magisterial; they are the official output of the Modernist revolution condemned by St. Pius X in Lamentabili Sane Exitu and Pascendi Dominici Gregis.
St. Pius X condemned the Modernist proposition that “Revelation was merely man’s self-awareness of his relationship to God” (Prop. 20) and that “The dogmas which the Church proposes as revealed are not truths of divine origin but are a certain interpretation of religious facts” (Prop. 22). The conciliar “magisterium” embodies these errors. Its “encyclicals” teach religious liberty (condemned by Pius IX in the Syllabus, Prop. 77-79), false ecumenism (Prop. 16-18), and the evolution of dogma (Prop. 58-60). Antiqua et Nova, a product of the “Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith” — itself a Modernist innovation replacing the Holy Office — treats AI as a pastoral challenge to be managed, not as a symptom of a world abandoning Christ the King.
Pius XI in Quas Primas declared: “When God and Jesus Christ… were removed from laws and states and when authority was derived not from God but from men, the foundations of that authority were destroyed”. The conciliar sect derives its “authority” from the world (UN, secular human rights, technology ethics), not from God. Its documents on AI are humanum genus legislation: they address the creature while ignoring the Creator. To cite them as binding is to drink from a poisoned cistern.
Reduction of the Supernatural to Digital Hygiene
The decree’s content reveals the naturalistic reductionism of the neo-church. The “archbishop” frets over “deepfakes,” “digital fraud,” “cyberbullying,” and the “simulation capabilities of artificial intelligence” fabricating “parallel realities.” He mandates labeling AI content and prohibits simulating a “cleric’s” face or voice. This is pharisaical straining at a gnat while swallowing a camel (Matt. 23:24).
The gravest “deepfake” in history is the conciliar sect itself: a counterfeit church occupying the visible structures of the Catholic Church, simulating the papacy, the episcopate, the priesthood, and the Sacrifice of the Mass. The “archbishop” worries that AI might “usurp faces and voices,” yet he usurps the voice of Christ by preaching a false gospel of religious indifferentism. He worries about “synthetic representations mistaken for real photographs,” yet he presents the Novus Ordo “table of assembly” as the Unbloody Sacrifice of Calvary. He worries about “digital fraud,” yet the entire post-conciliar edifice is a colossal fraud against the faithful, leading souls to hell under the guise of “pastoral care.”
Pius XI taught that Christ’s Kingdom is primarily spiritual and that “the hope of lasting peace will not yet shine upon nations as long as individuals and states renounce and do not wish to recognize the reign of our Savior” (Quas Primas). The decree recognizes no reign of Christ the King over technology, society, or the “archdiocese.” It recognizes only the secular categories of “human dignity,” “privacy,” “consent,” and “transparency” — the very language of the Masonic Enlightenment condemned in the Syllabus (Props. 3, 4, 55-57). The “archbishop” acts as a functionary of the Civitas Terrena, not a shepherd of the Civitas Dei.
The “Clergy” of the Neo-Church: Simulacra of the Priesthood
The decree’s specific prohibitions on simulating the appearance or voice of a “bishop, priest, or deacon” inadvertently highlight the ontological nullity of the conciliar “clergy.” The “archbishop” forbids AI from generating a fake image of a “priest” because it might “replace their actual photograph or could be interpreted as an authentic representation.” But what is the “authentic representation” of a “priest” ordained in the invalid Pontificale Romanum of 1968 by a “bishop” consecrated in the invalid rite of 1968? He is a simulacrum already.
Archbishop Lefebvre, though himself compromised by recognizing the usurpers, admitted the doubtful validity of the new rites. The “priests” of the neo-church lack the character indelebilis of the priesthood because the forma and intentio of the new ordinal are defective, oriented toward a “presbyteral ministry” of the “People of God” rather than the Sacerdos alter Christus offering the Propitiatory Sacrifice. To forbid AI from faking what is already a fake is the height of absurdity. The “archbishop” protects the image of a “cleric” while the reality of the priesthood has been abolished in his sect.
Invocation of the Blessed Virgin by Schismatics: Sacrilege
The decree concludes: “May Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of our archdiocese, intercede for us and help us preserve, in every communication, the dignity and beauty of human faces and voices called to reflect Christ.” This invocation by a public heretic, a usurper of the episcopal office, acting in communion with the antipopes, is sacrilege. The Blessed Virgin is the Destroyer of all heresies (Revelation 12). She does not patronize a structure built on the synthesis of all heresies (Modernism). St. Pius X taught that Modernism leads to “the synthesis of all errors” (Pascendi). To ask the Immaculate Conception to bless the “communications” of the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place (Matt. 24:15) is to mock the Mother of God.
Symptomatic of the Abomination of Desolation
This decree is not an isolated error; it is a symptom of the systemic apostasy foretold by St. Paul (2 Thess. 2:3-4). The conciliar sect, having lost the sensus fidei and the munus docendi, busies itself with technocratic regulations. It creates “dicasteries” for “Culture and Education,” “Communication,” “Integral Human Development” — mimicking the secular NGO structure. It issues “messages” for “World Communications Day” — a Modernist invention replacing the feasts of Christ the King and the Saints.
The Syllabus condemned the proposition: “The Roman Pontiff can, and ought to, reconcile himself, and come to terms with progress, liberalism and modern civilization” (Prop. 80). The conciliar “popes” have done exactly this. Leo XIV’s “Magnifica Humanitas” and “AI ethics” are the latest capitulation. The “archbishop” of Aracaju is a faithful executor of this capitulation. He regulates the tools of the Antichrist (global surveillance, digital ID, AI governance) instead of denouncing them as instruments of the beast (Apoc. 13:16-17).
True Catholic bishops — those few remaining with valid orders and jurisdiction, adhering to the Sede Vacante position — have no time for AI guidelines. They fight for the Social Kingship of Christ, the Integrity of the Mass, the Indissolubility of Marriage, and the Salvation of Souls. They know, with Pius XI, that “there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12), and that name is not “Artificial Intelligence,” “Human Dignity,” or “Digital Ethics.”
The decree of Menezes da Silva is waste paper. The “archdiocese” of Aracaju is a mission territory for the true Faith, currently occupied by a false shepherd. Ecclesia supplet does not apply to heretics. Non est potestas nisi a Deo (Rom. 13:1) — and this “power” is from the father of lies.
