Vatican Event Promotes Apostasy Under Guise of “Human Fraternity”

The VaticanNews portal reports (December 11, 2025) on the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity judging committee’s meeting with antipope Leo XIV (Robert Prevost), promoting religious indifferentism under the banner of global fraternity. Former European Council President Charles Michel and UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell champion “common-sense principles: fraternity, tolerance, peaceful coexistence” divorced from Christ’s Social Kingship. The article boasts 350 applicants from 75 countries collaborating with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar – a chilling testament to global apostasy.

Naturalistic Reduction of Supernatural Fraternity

The cited article reduces fraternitas in Christo to mere humanitarian cooperation: “We agree on the fundamental challenges… to have more peace, stability, and more positive opportunities for the future” (Michel). This directly contradicts Pope Pius XI’s condemnation: “Nor is there any difference between socialism and communism except in degree. Both are founded on materialism” (Divini Redemptoris §58). By omitting the Unum Baptisma (Ephesians 4:5) as the sole basis for true fraternity, the event exemplifies the naturalism condemned in Pascendi Dominici Gregis §6: “For them, the supernatural is only either a philosophical assumption or a product of the soul”.

Ecumenical Apostasy Institutionalized

The award commemorates the 2019 Abu Dhabi Declaration where Bergoglio proclaimed: “The pluralism and diversity of religions… are willed by God” – an heresy anathematized by Pope Pius IX: “They are in grave error who hold that men living in error and separated from the true faith can attain eternal life” (Quanto Conficiamur Moerore §7). That the “judges met with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar” confirms St. Pius X’s warning: “Modernists substitute for the divine reality a reality called by them to life by faith, and not distinct from it” (Lamentabili Sane §21).

UNICEF’s Anti-Catholic Agenda Concealed

Russell’s assertion that “everybody can do something” for fraternity ignores UNICEF’s documented promotion of contraception and gender ideology in 156 countries. Pope Pius XI warned against such collaborations: “Communism is intrinsically wrong, and no one who would save Christian civilization may collaborate with it” (Divini Redemptoris §58). The article’s praise for “concrete projects and actions” mirrors the Modernist confusion condemned in Pascendi §39: “They make conscience and experience the rule of faith instead of the authority and teaching of the Church”.

Omission of Christ’s Social Kingship

Nowhere does the article mention the Regnum Christi – the very foundation of true peace. Pius XI’s Quas Primas §18 declares: “Nations will be reminded by the annual celebration of this feast that not only private individuals but also rulers and princes are bound to give public honor and obedience to Christ”. The “human fraternity” idolatry directly violates Canon 1374: “Any Catholic who joins the Masonic sect or other similar associations plotting against the Church incurs ipso facto excommunication”.

Conclusion: Apostasy Canonized

This Zayed Award spectacle – occurring on December 11th, the centenary of Quas Primas – constitutes blasphemous inversion. Where Pius XI instituted Christ the King, antipope Leo XIV enthrones humanism. As Pope St. Pius X warned: “The enemy has succeeded in introducing among Catholics those errors which are dividing the nations” (Notre Charge Apostolique). True Catholics must reject this abomination, recalling Pius IX’s Syllabus §77: “In the present day it is no longer expedient that the Catholic religion should be held as the only religion of the State” (Condemned Proposition).
