Puerto Rican Bishops’ Pacifist Heresy Conceals War on Divine Order

EWTN News reports on December 2, 2025, that the Puerto Rican Bishops’ Conference opposes U.S. military presence in the Caribbean while invoking the authority of antipopes Leo XIV and “Francis,” alongside the modernist icon Angelo Roncalli (“John XXIII”). The bishops decry alleged “militarization” and “possible escalations” in U.S.-Venezuela tensions, framing their pacifist rhetoric as Catholic teaching while omitting all references to the Social Kingship of Christ.

Subordination of Christ’s Authority to Globalist Pacifism

The conciliar sect’s Puerto Rican representatives declare that “dialogue between societies and government diplomacy must always prevail over conflict,” directly contradicting Pius XI’s encyclical Quas Primas: “When once men recognize, both in private and in public life, that Christ is King, society will at last receive the great blessings of real liberty, well-ordered discipline, peace, and harmony” (n. 19). By treating the Marxist regime of Nicolás Maduro – which systematically persecutes Venezuela’s remaining Catholics – as a legitimate negotiating partner, these “bishops” betray their allegiance to the lex orandi, lex credendi of the United Nations rather than the One Holy Church.

Their statement laments “the restriction of airspace and maritime routes and military maneuvers” as primary evils, while remaining silent about Venezuela’s closure of churches, imprisonment of priests, and desecration of sacred art since 2017. This inversion of priorities reveals a naturalistic worldview incompatible with the Church’s condemnation of communism as “intrinsically perverse” (Pius XI, Divini Redemptoris n. 58).

Omission of Supernatural Order in Favor of Earthly Utopianism

Nowhere do the “bishops” mention:

  1. The necessity of Venezuela’s conversion to the Catholic Faith for true peace
  2. The blood of martyrs shed by Maduro’s regime
  3. The demonic roots of Marxist ideology condemned by Leo XIII’s Quod Apostolici Muneris

Instead, they parrot the conciliar sect’s false ecumenism by expressing “solidarity with our brother bishops of Venezuela” – those very collaborators who permit Communist sacrileges against altars and suppress the Traditional Mass. Their appeal to “dialogue” directly violates Pius IX’s Syllabus of Errors, which condemns the proposition that “the Roman Pontiff can, and ought to, reconcile himself, and come to terms with progress, liberalism, and modern civilization” (Error 80).

False Authorities Replace Magisterium

The document’s invocation of antipopes and Roncalli constitutes theological fraud. Bergoglio (“Francis”) explicitly denied Christ’s Kingship in 2016, declaring “I don’t like speaking about Christian values… I talk about the Gospel” (Inflight Press Conference, Armenia). Roncalli’s Pacem in Terris (1963) laid groundwork for the conciliar revolution by asserting the UN’s authority over nations – a heresy anathematized by Pius IX: “The State, as being the origin and source of all rights, is endowed with a certain right not circumscribed by any limits” (Syllabus, Error 39).

Governor Jenniffer González’s approval of Trump’s policies fares no better spiritually, as she reduces morality to drug interdiction statistics while ignoring the total subordination of temporal power to spiritual ends demanded by Boniface VIII’s Unam Sanctam (1302). Her boast that “82% of the citizenry supports the arrival of American troops” exemplifies the democratic heresy condemned in Pius VI’s Auctorem Fidei (1794), which rejected “the heretical principle of the supremacy of the people’s will over divine and ecclesiastical law.”

War Against Divine Law Itself

The Puerto Rican conference’s statement exemplifies the conciliar sect’s fundamental apostasy: replacing the immutable lex divina with humanitarian sentimentalism. When they insist “War should never be the solution to conflicts; war does not bring peace, but death,” they blaspheme against:

  • God’s command to Joshua to exterminate Canaanite idolaters (Joshua 6:17)
  • The Church’s approval of just wars per Augustine’s City of God (XIX.7)
  • Pius XII’s 1944 address praising Catholic soldiers who “fight for the salvation of Christian civilization

Their silence regarding Venezuela’s destruction of churches proves their allegiance lies with the “abomination of desolation” (Matt 24:15) occupying Rome, not the Ecclesia Militans. As the Syllabus declares: “The Church has not the power of using force, nor has she any temporal power, direct or indirect” (Error 24) – a truth these “bishops” invert by granting spiritual legitimacy to Marxist tyrants while denying nations the right to defend Christendom.
