Modernist “Pope” Promotes Naturalistic “Peace” in Ostia Parish Visit

The Roman parish of Santa Maria Regina Pacis in Ostia Lido will host the first pastoral visit of “Pope” Leo XIV on Sunday 15 February 2026. According to Vatican News, the visit will include meetings with children, the elderly, the sick, and Caritas volunteers, culminating in a Holy Mass concelebrated by Cardinal Vicar Baldo Reina and other “clergy.” The parish priest, Father Giovanni Vincenzo Patanè, highlighted the symbolic importance of the parish’s dedication to Mary, Queen of Peace, aligning it with Leo XIV’s emphasis on “an unarmed and disarming peace.” The visit is framed as a gesture of pastoral closeness, with the “pope” presented as the local bishop visiting his Church. Tickets were distributed by lottery to manage attendance.

This event is not a pastoral visit but a public display of the neo-church’s apostasy, reducing the supernatural mission of the Catholic Church to a naturalistic, human-centered project of “peace” devoid of Christ the King. The entire spectacle, from the bureaucratic planning to the emphasis on “closeness,” exposes the bankruptcy of the conciliar sect’s ecclesiology.

The Fraud of “Peace” Without Christ the King

The article centers on the title “Mary, Queen of Peace” and Leo XIV’s “unarmed and disarming peace.” This is a deliberate distortion of Catholic doctrine. Pope Pius XI, in his encyclical Quas Primas (1925), instituted the feast of Christ the King precisely to combat the secularism that removes God from public life. Pius XI explicitly condemned the error that “the state is happy not by one means, and man by another,” affirming that true peace and order flow only from the recognition of Christ’s reign: “When God and Jesus Christ… were removed from laws and states… the foundations of that authority were destroyed… the entire human society had to be shaken.” The “peace” promoted by Leo XIV is the peace of the world, the false tranquility of the Masonic agenda condemned by Pius IX in the Syllabus of Errors (Error #40: “The teaching of the Catholic Church is hostile to the well-being and interests of society”). It is the peace of the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place, where the public kingship of Christ is denied in favor of a sentimental, “unarmed” humanitarianism.

The Heresy of “Pastoral Closeness” Over Jurisdiction

The language of “pastoral closeness” and the “shepherd who comes to visit his Church” is Modernist jargon designed to mask the nullity of the usurper’s authority. Father Patanè states: “He is the Pope, but for us he is first and foremost our bishop, the shepherd who comes to visit his Church.” This is a lie. A manifest heretic cannot be a bishop or a member of the Church. St. Robert Bellarmine, in De Romano Pontifice, declared: “A manifest heretic… by that very fact ceases to be Pope and head, just as he ceases to be a Christian and member of the body of the Church.” Canon 188.4 of the 1917 Code of Canon Law states that an office becomes vacant “ipso facto” if a cleric “publicly defects from the Catholic faith.” The public promotion of “peace” contrary to the social reign of Christ, the acceptance of the conciliar errors on religious liberty and ecumenism, and the participation in the sacrilegious post-conciliar “liturgy” constitute a public defection from the faith. Therefore, the man known as Leo XIV holds no office. His “visit” is the act of a private individual, and those who receive him as a legitimate pastor are complicit in schism and apostasy.

The Naturalistic Cult of Man and the Omission of Supernatural Truth

The article’s entire focus is on human activities: meetings with children, the elderly, volunteers, a lottery for tickets, tidying up the parish. There is not a single mention of sin, grace, the Sacrifice of the Mass, the state of mortal sin, the necessity of conversion, the threat of eternal damnation, or the final judgment. This silence is the gravest accusation. It reveals the neo-church’s complete conversion to the cult of man. Pius XI in Quas Primas taught that Christ’s kingdom is spiritual and requires repentance, faith, baptism, and the denial of self: “this kingdom is opposed only to the kingdom of Satan… requires its followers not only to renounce earthly riches… but also to deny themselves and carry their cross.” The “pastoral visit” described is a celebration of human community, a sanitized social event that replaces the supernatural with the sentimental. It is the precise fulfillment of the “error of the day” condemned by St. Pius X in Lamentabili sane exitu: the reduction of religion to a “certain religious movement” and the evolution of dogma (#59: “Christ did not proclaim any specific, all-encompassing doctrine…”).

The “Augustinian” Smokescreen

Father Patanè notes that Ostia has St. Augustine as its patron, which “holds particular significance for Pope Leo, himself an Augustinian.” This is a cynical manipulation. The Augustine of the Confessions and City of God preached the absolute sovereignty of God, the necessity of grace, the corruption of human nature, and the eternal opposition between the City of God and the City of Man. He would vomit at the “unarmed peace” of a modernist antipope who promotes religious indifferentism and the secular state. The Augustine honored by the true Church is the defender of grace against Pelagianism; the “Augustinian” invoked here is a caricature, a brand name for a theology of “closeness” that is Pelagian in its optimism and naturalistic in its goals. This is the same method used by the Modernists: hijack the name of a great saint to give credibility to a system that saint would have anathematized.

The Sacrilegious “Mass” and the Invalid Clergy

The article states the visit will “culminate at 5:00 p.m. when the Pope will preside over Holy Mass.” This is a lie. The “Mass” of the neo-church is not the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is a “liturgy” that, following the Protestantizing reforms of Annibale Bugnini, has been transformed into a “meal” and a “celebration of community.” The theology of the propitiatory sacrifice has been systematically dismantled. The “concelebrants” – Cardinal Reina, Bishop Tarantelli Baccari, and Father Patanè – are, with very few possible exceptions among the oldest, almost certainly invalidly ordained. The 1968 rite of episcopal ordination, promulgated by Paul VI, is doubtful at best and likely invalid due to the omission of the traditional formula and the introduction of new rites that change the substance of the sacrament (as per Pope Leo XIII’s Apostolicae Curae on Anglican orders). Therefore, the “Mass” is sacrilegious: an invalid priest (or bishop) attempting to confect the Eucharist, using an invalid rite, with an invalid “pope” presiding. It is a Satanic parody, an “abomination of desolation” standing in the holy place.

The Lottery of damnation

The detail that tickets for attendance were distributed by lottery is profoundly symbolic. It reduces participation in this apostate spectacle to a game of chance, a worldly event where “fairness” is managed by human bureaucracy. This is the antithesis of the Catholic Church, where entrance into the sacred liturgy is based on the state of grace, the right faith, and canonical law. The lottery mocks the supernatural, replacing the dignity of the sacred with the egalitarianism of the secular arena. It is a perfect metaphor for the neo-church: a globalized, bureaucratic, entertainment-driven sect where the “sacred” is administered like a popular concert.

Conclusion: A Ritual of Apostasy

This “pastoral visit” is a ritual of apostasy. It publicly manifests the neo-church’s complete rejection of the social reign of Christ the King as defined by Quas Primas, its embrace of the naturalistic “peace” condemned in the Syllabus, its Modernist reduction of religion to sentiment as condemned in Lamentabili, and its invalid sacramental structure. The “pope” is a manifest heretic, automatically deprived of all jurisdiction by divine and canonical law. The “clergy” are, in all likelihood, invalidly ordained and excommunicated by their very participation in the conciliar sect. The faithful who attend in good faith are being led into idolatry and schism. The only “renewal” this visit offers is the renewal of the abomination of desolation. The call of Pius XI resounds with damning clarity: “Let rulers of states therefore not refuse public veneration and obedience to the reigning Christ… For what we wrote at the beginning of Our Pontificate about the diminishing authority of law and respect for power, the same can be applied to the present times: ‘When God and Jesus Christ… were removed from laws and states… the foundations of that authority were destroyed.'” The conciliar sect has done precisely this, and its “peace” is the peace of the Antichrist.
