The injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital,” said Pius Murmu, a 45-year-old Catholic who was himself injured. The alleged perpetrator, Rezaul Islam, claims to have purchased parcels of the disputed land in 1999 and 2023, yet denied any involvement in the violence.
