Italy’s Interfaith Pact: A Manifesto of Religious Indifferentism and Apostasy

National Catholic Register portal reports on a ceremony in Rome where representatives of Catholicism, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, the Baha’i faith, Orthodoxy, and evangelical sects signed a pact to promote “dialogue and coexistence.” Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, president of the Italian Bishops’ Conference, presented this initiative as a reflection on “shared values” to build a more “just, welcoming, and inclusive society.” This event is not a gesture of goodwill but a public, formal, and official act of apostasy by the conciliar sect, a blatant manifestation of the very errors condemned by the pre-1958 Magisterium as the synthesis of all heresies: Modernism.

The “Italian Path of Dialogue”: A Road to Apostasy Formalized

The pact signed on June 25, 2026, in Rome, represents a watershed moment in the ongoing demolition of the Catholic faith by the structures occupying the Vatican. This document, a product of meetings since 2023, is not an isolated incident but the logical, mature fruit of the conciliar revolution initiated by John XXIII and consummated by the subsequent usurpers. It constitutes a formal, public, and official renunciation of the Church’s divine mission, replacing the exclusive claim of the Catholic Church as the one true religion with a syncretic, naturalistic humanitarian project.

The Heresy of the “Equality of All Religions”

The most egregious error of the pact is its explicit commitment to promote “the equality of all religions before the state through constructive dialogue.” This single phrase is a comprehensive rejection of the entire corpus of Catholic dogmatic teaching. The Church has always and everywhere taught that she alone is the true religion, founded by God on earth, and that all other religious systems are, to varying degrees, false and harmful.

Pius IX, in the Syllabus of Errors, condemned the proposition that “every man is free to embrace and profess that religion which, guided by the light of reason, he shall consider true” (Error 15), and further, that “man may, in the observance of any religion whatever, find the way of eternal salvation” (Error 16). The 1917 Code of Canon Law, reflecting perennial doctrine, states: “The only true religion is the one established by Christ the Lord, which the Church is commissioned to guard and to teach” (Canon 1326). The pact’s language of “equality” is not a neutral political stance but a formal profession of indifferentism, heresy, and apostasy. It places the revealed truth of God on the same level as the inventions of men and the doctrines of demons.

The Modernist Synthesis of All Errors

The document’s stated goal to foster “a culture of peace based on justice and compassion” and to address “the instrumentalization of religion to justify hatred” is a classic Modernist subterfuge. It reduces the supernatural mission of the Church—the salvation of souls through the preaching of the Gospel and the administration of the sacraments—to a purely naturalistic, horizontal project of social engineering. The “peace” it seeks is not the peace of Christ, which comes from submission to His Kingship, but a purely worldly tranquility achieved by abolishing all doctrinal distinctions.

This is the very essence of the heresy condemned by St. Pius X. In the encyclical Pascendi Dominici gregis, he describes the Modernist who “puts religion, not in the knowledge of a personal God, but in a sense of the divine, born of a subconsciousness… and this sense, he says, is the common foundation of all religions, the substance of which all the forms of religion are but more or less transparent veils.” The pact, by seeking a “shared commitment” with Buddhists, Muslims, and Baha’is, is not building on common ground; it is actively constructing a new, syncretic religion of humanity, a “dogmaless Christianity” which Pius IX’s Syllabus explicitly condemned (Error 65).

The Public Apostasy of Cardinal Zuppi and the Italian Bishops’ Conference

Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, by signing this pact, has publicly and officially committed an act of formal heresy. His statement about reflecting “openly on shared values” reveals the bankruptcy of the conciliar church’s doctrine. For a Catholic, the only “shared value” with a non-Christian is the natural law written on the heart, which can lead to moral acts in the natural order. To speak of “shared values” in the supernatural order—in matters of faith, salvation, and divine worship—is a lie and a blasphemy, as it implies that truth is found in these false religions.

The Italian Bishops’ Conference, by endorsing this pact, has ceased to function as a body of pastors guarding the deposit of faith. It has become a political NGO, a lobby for the “neo-church” of the Antichrist. Its members are no longer successors of the Apostles but functionaries of a paramasonic structure whose goal is the complete subversion of Catholic society and its integration into the New World Order.

The Omission of Christ the King: The Gravest Accusation

The most revealing aspect of this pact is what it omits. There is no mention of Our Lord Jesus Christ as the one true God and Savior. There is no mention of His Kingship over all nations and individuals. There is no mention of the Catholic Church as the sole ark of salvation. There is no mention of the necessity of conversion to the Catholic faith for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

This silence is not an oversight; it is the entire point. The pact is a document of the “abomination of desolation,” a religion of pure naturalism that has expelled God from its sphere. Pius XI, in Quas Primas, established the Feast of Christ the King precisely to combat this error, teaching that “the Kingdom of our Redeemer encompasses all men” and that “it matters not whether individuals, families, or states, for men united in societies are no less subject to the authority of Christ than individuals.” The signatories of this pact, by their silence, have declared themselves enemies of Christ the King and have formally subjected themselves to the sentence of excommunication reserved for apostates and heretics.

A Call to Reject the Pact and Return to Tradition

This “Italian Path of Dialogue” is a path to perdition. It is a formal act of apostasy by the conciliar structures, a public denial of the faith once delivered to the saints. The faithful must recognize this pact for what it is: a definitive proof that the post-conciliar church is not a true church but a counterfeit, a synagogue of Satan masquerading in Catholic guise.

The response of every true Catholic must be one of uncompromising rejection. This means a complete separation from the modernist structures, their “sacraments,” and their “teachings.” It means a return to the unchanging Tradition of the Church: the true Mass of all time, the integral doctrine of the pre-1958 Magisterium, and the sole path to salvation as defined by the Fourth Lateran Council: “There is but one universal Church of the outside which no one at all is saved.” The path of dialogue is a lie. The path of truth is the narrow gate of the Catholic Church, now preserved only in the faithful remnant who refuse to bow before the idols of the conciliar revolution.
