Vatican News Hails Indifferentism: Neo-Church ‘Missionary’ Abandons Conversion for Dialogue

Vatican News portal (September 5, 2026) publishes a hagiographic interview with Fr. Andrzej Madej, OMI, presenting his thirty-year tenure in Turkmenistan as a model of “mission.” The article frames his ministry as building “relationships based on respect and peace,” sharing tea, attending Muslim weddings and funerals, reading the Gospel without “religious disputes,” and culminating in a projected book “The Lamb” for Christians and Muslims alike. The piece concludes with the sentimental bromide: “Where Christ comes, love comes with him.” This report is not a chronicle of Catholic mission but a manifesto of practical indifferentism, substituting the mandatum of Christ the King (Matt. 28:19-20) for a naturalistic humanitarianism that leaves souls in the darkness of Islam.

The Theological Vacuum: Silence on Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus

The most damning feature of the Vatican News narrative is its total silence on the necessity of the Catholic Faith for salvation. Nowhere does the “missionary” speak of the duty to preach “the Gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15) so that men may believe and be baptized (Mark 16:16). Nowhere is there mention of the dogma defined by the Fourth Lateran Council (1215) and reiterated by Pope Boniface VIII in Unam Sanctam (1302): “Urgentibus nobis… unam sanctam catholicam et apostolicam ecclesiam… extra quam nec salus est nec remissio peccatorum” (We are compelled… [to confess] the one holy catholic and apostolic Church… outside of which there is neither salvation nor remission of sins).

Instead, the article celebrates “mutual respect” and “remaining faithful to their own identity”—implying that a Muslim identity, which explicitly denies the Trinity, the Incarnation, and the Divinity of Christ, is a valid path. This is the heresy of indifferentism, explicitly condemned in the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX (1864): “Man may, in the observance of any religion whatever, find the way of eternal salvation, and arrive at eternal salvation” (Error 16); “Protestantism is nothing more than another form of the same true Christian religion…” (Error 18). By substituting “encounter” for conversion, the neo-church “missionary” becomes an accomplice to the damnation of those he comforts in their error.

Usurpation of Christ’s Kingship: The Social Reign Denied

Pope Pius XI, in Quas Primas (1925), teaches that Christ’s Kingship is not merely spiritual but extends to all human society: “His reign encompasses not only Catholic nations… but also all non-Christians, so that most truly the entire human race is subject to the authority of Jesus Christ”. The encyclical condemns the “plague… of secularism… laicism” which “began with the denial of Christ the Lord’s reign over all nations”. The “missionary” in Turkmenistan operates precisely within this condemned framework: he accepts the Muslim political and social order as a given, seeking only a private modus vivendi. He does not proclaim the Social Kingship of Christ over Turkmenistan; he does not demand that the civil law conform to the divine law; he does not call the Muslim authorities to “public veneration and obedience to the reigning Christ” (Quas Primas). His “peace” is the pax Romana of the antichurch—the peace of compromise with the enemies of the Cross.

False Ecumenism and the “Common Word” Deception

The projected book “The Lamb” “intended for both Christians and Muslims” reveals the syncretistic intent of this ministry. The title itself is a theft of the Apocalyptic title of Christ (Apoc. 5:6) to build a bridge to a religion that denies the Lamb of God took away the sins of the world. This mirrors the post-conciliar Nostra Aetate paradigm, which the provided Syllabus and Lamentabili Sane Exitu (1907) condemn at root. St. Pius X condemned the Modernist proposition: “The dogmas which the Church proposes as revealed are not truths of divine origin but are a certain interpretation of religious facts…” (Lamentabili, 22). By treating Islam as a partner in dialogue rather than a “sect… which gathers its troops against the Church of Christ” (Pius IX, Syllabus context), the Oblate “priest” validates the Koranic denial of Christ’s Sonship (Koran 112:3).

The article notes the first baptisms occurred only in 2000—thirteen years after arrival. This statistical sterility is the inevitable fruit of a “mission” that prioritizes “sitting together” over “teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:20). True missionaries—St. Francis Xavier, St. Fidelis of Sigmaringen, the North American Martyrs—risked martyrdom for the explicit confession of the Faith. This “missionary” risks only social awkwardness, avoiding “religious disputes” which St. Paul commands: “Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine” (2 Tim. 4:2).

Invalid Ministry: The “Priest” of the Conciliar Sect

Fr. Madej is identified as “Oblate Father… OMI”—a member of a congregation thoroughly assimilated into the conciliar sect since the pseudo-council Vatican II. The new rite of ordination (1968), promulgated by the antipope Paul VI (Montini), is doubtfully valid at best, invalid at worst, due to defect of form and intention (Sacramentum Ordinis, Pius XII, 1947; the 1968 rite omits the essential signification of the sacerdotal power to offer the Propitiatory Sacrifice). Even if validly ordained sub conditione before 1968, his canonical mission derives from the usurpers occupying the Vatican—the line beginning with John XXIII (Roncalli), who convoked the revolutionary council, through Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict XVI, Francis, to the current antipope Leo XIV (Robert Prevost).

As the Defense of Sedevacantism file demonstrates, a manifest heretic loses office ipso facto (Canon 188.4, 1917 Code; Bellarmine, De Romano Pontifice; Pope Paul IV, Cum ex Apostolatus Officio). The “bishops” of the neo-church—including the “bishop” who supposedly sent Madej—are manifest heretics by their adhesion to Vatican II’s errors (religious liberty, ecumenism, collegiality). Therefore, they possess no jurisdiction. The “mission” in Turkmenistan is a private enterprise of a layman or a suspended priest, lacking canonical mission (missio canonica), and thus the “baptisms” reported—if they used the new rite or were administered without proper intention—are doubtful or invalid. The “community” built is not the Church of Christ but a sectarian gathering within the “abomination of desolation” (Matt. 24:15).

Linguistic Engineering: The Vocabulary of Apostasy

The article’s rhetoric is a masterclass in Modernist linguistic subversion (condemned in Lamentabili, Prop. 59: “Christ did not proclaim any specific, all-encompassing doctrine suitable for all times and peoples…”). Key terms are stripped of supernatural content:

  • “Mission” → reduced to humanitarian presence (“inviting people for tea”).
  • “Witness” → reduced to natural virtue (“kindness,” “listening”), devoid of martyrdom (witness unto blood) or confessio fidei.
  • “Peace”pax mundana, absence of conflict, not “Pax Christi in regno Christi” (Peace of Christ in the Kingdom of Christ, Pius XI).
  • “Gospel reading” → a cultural exchange (“shared readings”), not the kerygma demanding conversion.
  • “Identity” → religious indifferentism; the Muslim keeps his “identity” (denial of Christ), the “Christian” keeps his (vague spirituality).

This is the “new language” of the “Church of the New Advent”, designed to make the depositum fidei unrecognizable.

Symptomatic Level: The Neo-Church’s Global Strategy

This Vatican News piece is not an isolated human-interest story; it is propaganda for the one-world religion. The “missionary” hopes to write “The Lamb” for “both Christians and Muslims”—a direct echo of the Abu Dhabi Declaration (2019) signed by the antipope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, which declares “pluralism and diversity of religions… willed by God” (a formal heresy). The Turkmenistan “model”—accommodation, silence on dogma, institutionalization of a Catholic presence that threatens no one—is the blueprint for the “paramasonic structure” globally. It fulfills the Masonic plan outlined in the False Fatima file: “Stage 3 (1958-2000): Takeover of the narrative by modernists… ecumenical reinterpretation”. The “Miracle of the Sun” deception paved the way for a “miracle of dialogue” deception.

The Oblates (OMI) have been at the forefront of this revolution. Their “mission” in Turkmenistan, a former Soviet atheist state now Muslim-majority, serves the geopolitical interests of the neo-church’s masters: a harmless, NGO-style Catholicism that legitimizes the regime’s “tolerance” while posing zero threat to the Islamic social order. The “priest” becomes a chaplain to the status quo.

The Only True Mission: Instaurare Omnia in Christo

Contrast this betrayal with the teaching of Pope St. Pius X (E Supremi, 1903): “Our one aim is to restore all things in Christ… to bring back mankind under the dominion of Christ”. The true Catholic missionary goes ad gentes not to “build relationships” but to destroy the kingdom of Satan (Acts 26:18: “To open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God”). He preaches “Jesus Christ, and Him crucified” (1 Cor. 2:2), calling all men—Muslims included—to “repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins” (Acts 2:38).

The “peace” of Turkmenistan’s “missionary” is the peace of the “synagogue of Satan” (Apoc. 2:9; 3:9), which “gathers its troops against the Church of Christ” (Pius IX, Allocution Quibus quantisque). The true Church—the remnant faithful to Tradition, the sedevacantist Church—rejects this spiritual treason. We await the Rex Regum who will “rule them with a rod of iron” (Apoc. 19:15), not the “lamb” of syncretism who lies down with the wolf of Islam.

Fr. Madej’s thirty years are a thirty-year scandal. Vatican News celebrates it because the conciliar sect celebrates its own suicide. “Woe to you when all men shall speak well of you: for according to these things did their fathers to the false prophets” (Luke 6:26).
