The EWTN News portal (via its Portuguese service ACI Digital) reports that two Brazilian conciliar “bishops,” Devair Araújo da Fonseca of Piracicaba and Adair José Guimarães of Formosa, issued tepid rebukes against President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva after he publicly demanded the “Catholic Church” end priestly celibacy and ordain women. Lula, a Workers’ Party candidate for reelection, claimed he discussed these innovations with the antipope Francis. The “bishops” responded not by defending the immutable divine constitution of the Church, but by complaining of political interference and urging the faithful to vote in the upcoming Masonic elections as an “act of sacrifice and penance.” This theatrical resistance reveals the utter bankruptcy of the conciliar sect: its prelates defend not the Kingship of Christ, but their own institutional comfort within the revolutionary order.
The Farce of “Episcopal Correction” in the Conciliar Sect
The cited article presents a spectacle of shadows. “Bishop” Araújo da Fonseca declares: “We are seeing politicians trying to tell the Church what it should do. They even try to speak about priestly celibacy, when they ought to be looking after the country.” This is the language of a functionary protecting bureaucratic turf, not a successor of the Apostles defending the depositum fidei. He does not anathematize the attack on celibacy—a discipline rooted in the apostolic tradition and confirmed by the Council of Trent (Sess. XXIV, Can. 9: “If anyone says that clerics constituted in sacred orders… can contract marriage… let him be anathema”)—nor does he denounce the impossibility of female ordination, defined infallibly by the ordinary universal Magisterium and confirmed by Pope Pius XII in Sacramentum Ordinis (1947) and the constant tradition of the Church. He merely whines about jurisdiction: “they ought to be looking after the country.” Since when does the Church’s liberty depend on the permission of the civil power? Quas Primas teaches: “The Church, established by Christ as a perfect society, demands for itself by a right belonging to it, which it cannot renounce, full freedom and independence from secular authority” (Pius XI, Quas Primas, 1925). The “bishop” inverts the order: he implies the Church is a guest in the house of the State, tolerated only if the politician “looks after the country.”
Lula: The Manifest Heretic and the Duty of the True Hierarchy
Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is not merely a “politician” with opinions; he is a manifest heretic and apostate. He publicly denies the divine constitution of the Church, demanding she conform to the spirit of the world (saeculum). According to the Syllabus of Errors, Proposition 55 (“The Church ought to be separated from the State, and the State from the Church”) and Proposition 77 (“In the present day it is no longer expedient that the Catholic religion should be held as the only religion of the State”) are condemned errors. Lula embodies these errors. He claims to have spoken to “Pope Francis”—the antipope who himself denies the indissolubility of marriage (Amoris Laetitia), promotes false ecumenism, and worships idols (Pachamama). Two heretics conspiring against the Bride of Christ.
Where is the canonical judgment? St. Robert Bellarmine teaches: “A manifest heretic… by that very fact ceases to be Pope and head, just as he ceases to be a Christian and member of the body of the Church” (De Romano Pontifice). Canon 188.4 of the 1917 Code declares vacant the office of any cleric who “publicly defects from the Catholic faith”. Pope Paul IV’s Bull Cum ex Apostolatus Officio declares the promotion of a heretic “null, void, and of no effect”. Lula, by his public defection, has severed himself from the Church. A true bishop would declare him vitandus, warn the faithful against his soul-destroying errors, and invoke the temporal power to suppress his public scandal—not urge Catholics to vote for or against him in a Masonic plebiscite.
The “Bishop” of Formosa: Quoting a Modernist to Condemn a Communist
“Bishop” Guimarães attempts gravitas by quoting the late “Cardinal” Eusébio Oscar Scheid, who in 2005 called Lula “chaotic, apostate, and romantic.” This is the pot calling the kettle black. Scheid was a conciliar “cardinal,” a participant in the Vatican II revolution, a promoter of the new Mass, religious liberty, and collegiality—errors condemned by Lamentabili Sane Exitu (Prop. 53: “The organic structure of the Church is subject to change…”; Prop. 59: “Christ did not proclaim any specific, all-encompassing doctrine suitable for all times and peoples…”). To cite a modernist as a witness against a communist is the hallmark of the neo-church: it validates the false spectrum of “left vs. right” within the revolution, obscuring the only true axis—Catholic vs. Anti-Catholic. Guimarães adds: “the Catholic Church is not something just anyone can understand, as it is an institution of divine right, over 2,000 years old…” True. But he recognizes the antipope Francis as its head. Contradictio in adjecto. One cannot defend the “institution of divine right” while submitting to a usurper who has ipso facto lost that right by manifest heresy (Bellarmine, De Romano Pontifice 2:30; Wernz-Vidal, Ius Canonicum).
The Demonic Inversion: Voting as “Sacrifice and Penance”
The most blasphemous utterance comes from Araújo da Fonseca: “He urged them to vote as ‘an act of sacrifice and penance.'” This is a profanation of the theological virtues. Penance (poenitentia) is a supernatural virtue, a sacrament, directed to God for the remission of sins. To equate casting a ballot in a Godless, Masonic democracy—where the options are uniformly anti-Catholic (Lula vs. Bolsonaro, both enemies of the Social Kingship of Christ)—with a sacrificium laudis is idolatry of the State. It is the religion of the Civitas Terrena masquerading as Catholicism. Pius XI condemned this in Quas Primas: “When God and Jesus Christ… were removed from laws and states… the foundations of that authority were destroyed.” The “bishop” commands the faithful to legitimize the very structure that destroys the Church. Non possumus.
The Statistical Confession: The Fruit of Vatican II
The article notes: “Catholics currently make up about 57% of the population, down from about 90% in 1970.” This catastrophic hemorrhage coincides precisely with the implementation of the conciliar revolution—the new Mass, the new catechesis, the “openness to the world,” the false ecumenism. Lula’s diagnosis (“the Church needs to modernize to grow”) is the standard modernist lie (Prop. 65 of Lamentabili: “Contemporary Catholicism cannot be reconciled with true knowledge without transforming it into a certain dogmaless Christianity…”). The “bishops” do not refute this lie by pointing to the cause—the abandonment of Tradition—but by posturing as defenders of “tradition” within the revolution. They are the controlled opposition. The drop from 90% to 57% is the wage of the novus ordo; the “bishops” are its paymasters.
The “Evangelical Front” and the Ecumenism of the Antichrist
Lula made his remarks at a meeting with the “Evangelical Front for the Rule of Law.” This reveals the ecumenical core of the conciliar strategy. The “Catholic” hierarchy dialogues with heretics as equals, seeking political alliance. The Syllabus condemns Proposition 18: “Protestantism is nothing more than another form of the same true Christian religion…” The “bishops” say nothing of this scandal. They do not call the heretics to conversion. They fight only for “institutional autonomy”—the libertas ecclesiae reduced to libertas sectae.
Sedevacantist Verdict: The Structures are Vacant
From the perspective of integral Catholic faith, the analysis is simple and terrible. The See of Peter is vacant (Sede Vacante) since the death of Pius XII (1958), occupied by a line of manifest heretics (John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict XVI, Francis, now Leo XIV/Prevost). The “bishops” Araújo da Fonseca and Guimarães, consecrated in the invalid Pontificale Romanum of 1968 (which removed the essential form for the episcopate), possess no jurisdiction, no sacramental character, no authority. They are laymen in purple, administering the sacraments of the neo-church—simulacra of grace. Their “rebukes” are noise.
The true Church, the Ecclesia Militans, persists in the catacombs, among the faithful who keep the Tridentine Mass, the Catechism of Trent, the Syllabus, Quas Primas, Pascendi, and the teaching that “Outside the Church there is no salvation” (Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus). Lula is a son of perdition. The “bishops” are blind guides leading the blind into the pit (Matt. 15:14). The only remedy is not the ballot box, but the Sancta Missa, the Rosary, and the refusal of all communion with the conciliar sect—schismatici vitandi.
Let the faithful flee these hirelings. The Kingship of Christ admits no ballot, no compromise, no “dialogue” with His enemies. Regnavit a ligno Deus.
