Vatican News Propaganda Masquerades as Gospel Reflection While Ignoring Christ’s Kingship

The Vatican News portal, official propaganda organ of the conciliar sect occupying the Vatican, publishes a “Gospel Reflection” for the Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time by the invalidly ordained Fr. Edmund Power, OSB. The commentary reduces the parable of the two sons (Mt 21:28–32) to a banal moralistic exhortation about “actions speaking louder than words,” entirely devoid of supernatural doctrine, the necessity of grace, the reality of hell, or the social kingship of Christ the King. This naturalistic psychotherapy session masquerading as homiletic concludes with a fundraising appeal to spread the antipope’s words — confirming the sect’s essentially commercial and anthropocentric character.

The Conciliar Sect’s Official Mouthpiece Peddles Naturalistic Moralism

The source itself condemns the content. Vatican News is the state media of the paramasonic structure established by the usurper John XXIII and perpetuated through the line of antipopes culminating in the current usurper Leo XIV (Robert Prevost). Every word published there bears the imprimatur of the abomination of desolation (Mt 24:15). The author, presented as “Fr. Edmund Power, OSB,” belongs to the neo-church clergy — invalidly ordained in the novus ordo rite of Paul VI (1968), which defective form and intention cannot produce true priests. As Pope Pius XII taught in Sacramentum Ordinis (1947), the matter and form of Holy Orders must signify the sacerdotal power to offer the Unbloody Sacrifice of Calvary; the Montinian rite signifies only a “presbyteral ministry” of the “people of God.” Thus this man is no more a priest than a Protestant minister, and his “reflection” carries zero sacramental or magisterial authority.

The Modernist Liturgical Calendar Erases Christ’s Sovereign Rights

The article dates itself by the fabricated “Ordinary Time” of the 1969 Novus Ordo calendar — a liturgical innovation that suppresses the traditional cycle which constantly recalled the mysteries of redemption and the social reign of Christ the King. Pope Pius XI, in Quas Primas (1925), instituted the Feast of Christ the King precisely to combat laicism: “When God and Jesus Christ were removed from laws and states and when authority was derived not from God but from men, the foundations of that authority were destroyed.” The conciliar calendar, by replacing the Feast of Christ the King (last Sunday of October) with a generic “Solemnity of Christ the King of the Universe” at the end of “Ordinary Time,” and by inventing “Ordinary Time” itself, secularizes the liturgical year, conforming it to the naturalistic rhythm of the world. Fr. Power’s reflection breathes this secularized air: not a word on Christ’s legislative, judicial, and executive power over nations (Pius XI, Quas Primas, §14–15), only a vague invitation to “live with generosity and integrity.”

Reduction of the Gospel to Therapeutic Self-Help

The commentary’s method is pure Modernism, condemned by St. Pius X in Lamentabili Sane Exitu (1907) and Pascendi Dominici Gregis (1907). Proposition 59 of Lamentabili condemns: “Christ did not proclaim any specific, all-encompassing doctrine suitable for all times and peoples, but rather initiated a certain religious movement, applied or applicable to different times and places.” Fr. Power treats the parable not as divine revelation demanding assent of faith but as a psychological mirror: “What can we learn about this family of three persons, and how is it relevant to us today?” The Father becomes a tender parent; the sons become archetypes of “honesty” vs. “diplomacy”; the tax collectors and harlots become models of “respecting the law’s core.” Supernatural faith, sanctifying grace, the state of grace, mortal sin, final impenitence, hell — all vanish. The parable’s eschatological thrust — “the tax collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you” (Mt 21:31) — is emasculated into a lesson on “integrity” and “self-critical” awareness.

Silence on the Necessity of Grace and the Sacraments Is the Gravest Accusation

The Council of Trent, Session VI, Canon 21 (Denzinger 831), defines: “If anyone says that Christ Jesus was given by God to men as a redeemer in whom they are to trust, but not also as a lawgiver whom they are bound to obey, let him be anathema.” Pius XI echoes this in Quas Primas: “Christ Jesus is given to men as Redeemer, in whom they are to place their hope, but at the same time He is the Lawgiver, to whom men owe obedience.” Fr. Power’s reflection suppresses the Lawgiver. There is no mention of the Most Holy Sacrifice, the Sacrament of Penance, the Eucharist, or the necessity of supernatural grace to perform any action pleasing to God. The “third option” — “the person says yes and does it” — is presented as a human ideal of “perfect coherence,” not as the fruit of gratia sanans and gratia elevans. This is Pelagianism repackaged for the neo-church pew-sitter: man saves himself by “generosity” and “courage to see ourselves with the eyes of truth.”

The Antipope’s Words Replace the Word of God

The article concludes with a blatant solicitation: “Your contribution for a great mission: support us in bringing the Pope’s words into every home.” Not Christ’s words. Not the depositum fidei. The antipope’s words. This is the cult of man condemned by Pius XI in Quas Primas: “The state is happy not by one means, and man by another; for the state is nothing else than a harmonious association of men… Let rulers of states therefore not refuse public veneration and obedience to the reigning Christ.” The conciliar sect does the opposite: it refuses public veneration of Christ the King and demands support for the usurper’s words. The Syllabus of Errors (1864), Proposition 77, condemns: “In the present day it is no longer expedient that the Catholic religion should be held as the only religion of the State.” The neo-church lives this condemnation: it peddles a generic “spirituality” acceptable to the world, fundraising on the back of the antipope’s celebrity.

The “Chief Priests and Elders” Today Occupy the Vatican

Fr. Power notes Jesus addresses “the experts, the chief priests and the elders of the people” who are “fundamentally hostile to him.” Who are the chief priests and elders today? The antipopes, the “cardinals,” the “bishops” of the conciliar sect — the very men who publish Vatican News. They are the ones who have defected from the Catholic faith publicly, teaching religious liberty (condemned by Gregory XVI, Pius IX, Leo XIII), false ecumenism (condemned by Pius XI, Mortalium Animos), collegiality (contrary to Vatican I), and the new mass (which expresses a Protestantized ecclesiology). By Canon 188.4 of the 1917 Code, public defection from the faith vacates office ipso facto. As the Defense of Sedevacantism file demonstrates, Bellarmine teaches: “A manifest heretic cannot be Pope… he cannot be the head of something of which he is not a member.” The “chief priests and elders” of the parable are the usurpers in the Vatican, and Fr. Power is their hireling, feeding the sheep not with solid food but with psychological pabulum.

No Warning of Judgment, No Call to Conversion, No Mention of the Four Last Things

The parable ends with a terrifying implication: the chief priests and elders, despite seeing the tax collectors and harlots repent, “did not even repent afterwards that you might believe him” (Mt 21:32). Fr. Power omits this verse entirely. He omits the final judgment, the eternal consequences of impenitence, the necessity of baptism and the Catholic faith for salvation (Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus, defined by Fourth Lateran 1215, Boniface VIII Unam Sanctam 1302, Pius XII Mystici Corporis 1943). The “fourth option” — “you say no and mean it” — is dismissed as “hardly an expression of ardent charity,” not as the road to damnation. This silence is not accidental; it is the systematic apostasy of the conciliar sect, which has replaced the kerygma of salvation with the anthropocentrism of Vatican II’s Gaudium et Spes.

Conclusion: The Neo-Church Is a Counterfeit of the Church of Christ

This article, in its banality, its naturalism, its silence on the supernatural, its fundraising for the antipope, and its origin in the official propaganda organ of the usurpers, manifests the theological and spiritual bankruptcy of the conciliar sect. It is not the Church of Christ, which “teaches, governs, and leads all to eternal happiness” (Pius XI, Quas Primas, §31). It is a paramasonic structure designed to acclimate souls to the reign of Antichrist by substituting therapeutic moralism for the royal law of Christ the King. Quas Primas declares: “If rulers and legitimate superiors will have the conviction that they exercise authority not so much by their own right as by the command and in the place of the Divine King, everyone will notice how religiously and wisely they will use their authority.” The conciliar “authorities” exercise authority in their own right, against the Divine King. Their “Gospel reflections” are the hiss of the serpent (Gen 3:1): “What do you think?” — inviting man to judge God’s word rather than submit to it. Reject the neo-church. Return to the immutable Tradition. Submit to Christ the King.
