The EWTN News portal reports that the usurper Robert Prevost, styling himself “Pope Leo XIV,” held private audiences from October 1–5, 2026, with the leadership of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) — including its president, Archbishop Paul Coakley of Oklahoma City, and vice president, Bishop Daniel Flores of Brownsville — as well as with Bishops Robert Barron, Louis Tylka, and Thomas Wenski. Three cardinals of the conciliar sect, Blase Cupich, Robert McElroy, and Joseph Tobin, are slated to join a Vatican conference from October 7–14 marking the tenth anniversary of the apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia, entitled “Ten Years After Amoris Lætitia: Proclaiming the Gospel with Families Today.” Barron, founder of the “Word on Fire” enterprise, declared at the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See that Catholicism is “deeply aligned with American ideals,” and ordained eighteen deacons for the Pontifical North American College at St. Peter’s Basilica. Tylka recently participated in the “beatification” of Fulton Sheen. Wenski submitted his resignation upon reaching age seventy-five. This choreographed convergence of Modernist prelates under a usurping antipope to celebrate a document that adulterates the indissolubility of marriage and the moral law is a public manifestation of the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place.
The Usurper and His Court of Heretics
The article presents as routine ecclesiastical business the meeting of a manifest heretic, Robert Prevost, with a cohort of bishops and cardinals who have publicly embraced the errors of the Second Vatican Council and the post-conciliar revolution. Prevost is not the Roman Pontiff; he is an antipope, a usurper of the Chair of Peter, elected by a conclave of cardinals who had long since defected from the Catholic Faith. As St. Robert Bellarmine teaches, “a Pope who is a manifest heretic, by that very fact ceases to be Pope and head, just as he ceases to be a Christian and member of the body of the Church” (De Romano Pontifice, lib. 2, cap. 30). The automatic loss of office (ipso facto) requires no declaratory sentence; the heretic separates himself from the Church by his own judgment (suo iudicio), as the Apostle teaches: “A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid: knowing that he that is such an one is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned by his own judgment” (Titus 3:10–11). The 1917 Code of Canon Law, Canon 188 §4, confirms: “Every office becomes vacant by the mere fact and without any declaration… if the cleric publicly defects from the Catholic faith.” Prevost, by his adherence to the conciliar errors — religious liberty, false ecumenism, collegiality, the new Mass — has publicly defected. His “meetings” are not papal audiences but the strategizing of a Masonic infiltration.
Amoris Laetitia: The Codification of Adultery
The centerpiece of the October conference is the tenth anniversary of Amoris Laetitia, the 2016 apostolic exhortation of the antipope Bergoglio that opened the door to Holy Communion for public adulterers in “irregular unions.” This document is a formal denial of the Sixth Commandment and the Council of Trent’s anathema: “If anyone says that the Church errs in not allowing the marriage bond to be dissolved… let him be anathema” (Session 24, Canon 7). By celebrating this document, the USCCB leadership and the Roman curia proclaim that the lex orandi of the conciliar sect is now the lex credendi of adultery. The conference title — “Proclaiming the Gospel with Families Today” — is a mockery; the Gospel proclaims “What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder” (Matt. 19:6), not the discernment of “mitigating factors” for ongoing concubinage. As Pius XI thundered in Casti Connubii (1930): “No power on earth, no authority of the State, no legislation of the civil power, can ever make void the marriage bond.” The conciliar sect has made it void.
Americanism Revived: Barron’s “Alignment with American Ideals”
Bishop Robert Barron’s declaration at the U.S. Embassy that “Catholicism is deeply aligned with American ideals” is a textbook resurrection of the heresy of Americanism, condemned by Leo XIII in Testem Benevolentiae (1899). The Pope condemned the notion that the Church should accommodate herself to the “spirit of the age,” to democratic pluralism, to the separation of Church and State, and to the naturalistic ethics of the Enlightenment. Leo XIII wrote: “The underlying principle of these new opinions is that, in order to more easily attract those who differ from her, the Church should shape her teachings more in accord with the spirit of the age and relax some of her ancient severity…” Barron’s “Word on Fire” apostolate is precisely this: a marketing campaign that waters down the depositum fidei to make it palatable to the world. His ordination of eighteen deacons in St. Peter’s Basilica — the very heart of the Church usurped by the sect — is a sacrilegious farce. These men receive orders from a bishop who denies the Social Kingship of Christ, who collaborates with the enemies of the Faith, and who operates within a counterfeit hierarchy. Sacrilegium est: the sacraments administered in communion with the conciliar sect are at best doubtful, at worst invalid, because the ministers lack canonical mission from the true Church and intend to do what the sect does, not what the Church does.
The Syllabus Errors in Living Color
The entire tableau — the antipope, the national bishops’ conference, the embassy event, the celebration of a document that subordinates divine law to “pastoral discernment” — embodies the errors condemned in the Syllabus Errorum of Pius IX (1864):
- Error 55: “The Church ought to be separated from the State, and the State from the Church.” Barron’s embassy speech celebrates this separation as “alignment.”
- Error 77: “In the present day it is no longer expedient that the Catholic religion should be held as the only religion of the State…” The USCCB’s entire public policy apparatus operates on this principle.
- Error 79: “It is false that the civil liberty of every form of worship… conduce more easily to corrupt the morals…” The conciliar sect’s Dignitatis Humanae makes this falsehood dogma.
- Error 80: “The Roman Pontiff can, and ought to, reconcile himself, and come to terms with progress, liberalism and modern civilization.” This is the program of every “pope” since John XXIII.
As Pius IX warned in Quanta Cura: “From them [the sects] the synagogue of Satan… takes its strength… deceiving many with astute frauds, finally has arrived at the point where it comes forth impetuously from its hiding places and triumphs as a powerful master.” The October conference is that triumph on display.
The Beatification Farce: Fulton Sheen and the Counterfeit Sanctity
Bishop Tylka’s participation in the “beatification” of Fulton Sheen exposes the conciliar sect’s manufacture of saints to legitimize its narrative. Sheen, a media personality of the mid-twentieth century, was a promoter of the very ecumenism and religious liberty that the Syllabus condemns. His “beatification” by Bergoglio in 2019 (or the subsequent steps) is null and void: an antipope cannot beatify or canonize; the charism of infallibility in canonization belongs solely to the true Roman Pontiff. As the Defense of Sedevacantism file demonstrates, a manifest heretic lacks jurisdiction ab initio; his acts of governance are null. The naming of a parish after Sheen in Peoria is not an honor to a saint but a marker of the sect’s territory. Quas Primas reminds us that the Church’s liturgical calendar is a profession of faith: “The prayer prescribed by the Church is the rule of faith” (lex orandi, lex credendi). The conciliar calendar, filled with “saints” of the revolution, professes a false faith.
The Canon Law Charade: Wenski’s Resignation
The article notes that Archbishop Wenski “submitted his resignation to the pope upon reaching his 75th birthday in October 2025, as required by canon law.” This is a grotesque parody of canonical order. Canon law binds only those in communion with the true Church and subject to a true Pope. Wenski, by recognizing the usurper and governing a diocese within the conciliar sect, has already tacitly resigned his office by defection from the Faith (Canon 188 §4). His formal resignation letter to an antipope is not an act of obedience but an act of schism. As Pope Celestine I wrote of Nestorius: “He could not remove anyone by sentence who himself had already shown that he must be removed” (Epist. ad Ioan. Antioch.). The heretic has no authority to accept resignations, appoint bishops, or govern. The entire episcopal structure of the United States, from the USCCB down to the parish level, is a paramasonic structure occupying the visible buildings but devoid of the potestas ordinis and potestas iurisdictionis of Christ.
The Symptomatic Level: The Family Conference as Anti-Syllabus
The conference “Ten Years After Amoris Laetitia” is not a pastoral gathering but a conventiculum of the revolution. Its purpose is to entrench the hermeneutic of rupture disguised as “development.” The participants — Cupich, McElroy, Tobin, Coakley, Flores — are the public faces of the Church of the New Advent, the neo-church that Pius X identified as the “synthesis of all heresies” (Pascendi Dominici Gregis). Lamentabili Sane Exitu condemned the Modernist proposition: “Christ did not proclaim any specific, all-encompassing doctrine suitable for all times and peoples, but rather initiated a certain religious movement, applied or applicable to different times and places” (Prop. 59). Amoris Laetitia is the application of this condemned proposition to marriage: the indissoluble bond becomes a “ideal” to be “discerned” according to the “complexity of situations.” This is the evolution of dogma that St. Pius X anathematized.
The Kingship of Christ Denied
Pius XI, in Quas Primas (1925), instituted the Feast of Christ the King precisely to combat the “plague of secularism, so-called laicism” that “began with the denial of Christ the Lord’s reign over all nations.” He declared: “His reign encompasses not only Catholic nations… but His reign encompasses also all non-Christians, so that most truly the entire human race is subject to the authority of Jesus Christ” (citing Leo XIII, Annum Sacrum). The USCCB, the antipope, and their conference deny this reign in practice. They operate as a religious NGO within the secular order, seeking “dialogue” with the State, “accompaniment” of sinners in their sin, and “inclusion” of the divorced and remarried at the Lord’s Table. They have removed Christ from the laws, from the public square, from the family. As Pius XI warned: “When God and Jesus Christ were removed from laws and states and when authority was derived not from God but from men, the foundations of that authority were destroyed… the entire human society had to be shaken.” The shaking we see — the collapse of marriage, the slaughter of the unborn, the persecution of the faithful — is the direct fruit of this denial.
Conclusion: No Communion with the Abomination
The faithful Catholic, adhering to the integral Catholic faith of the Fathers, the Councils, and the pre-1958 Magisterium, can have no communion whatsoever with this theater of iniquity. The meetings, the conference, the ordinations, the beatifications, the resignations — all are nulla, irrita, et invalida (null, void, and invalid). The true Church endures in the catacombs of the remnant, among bishops and priests who retain valid orders and jurisdiction by never having defected, who celebrate the Unbloody Sacrifice of Calvary in the Tridentine Rite, who teach the Catechism of Trent, and who await the restoration of the Papacy. “The gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matt. 16:18). The conciliar sect, with its antipope and its Americanist bishops, is the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel and Our Lord. Let him that readeth understand.
