FSSP Silence on Jackson Laicization Exposes Rotten Core of Indult Compromise

The Pillar portal reports that the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) has refused to disclose details regarding the laicization of Fr. James Jackson, convicted in 2023 of downloading and storing thousands of files of child sexual abuse material, sentenced to six years in federal prison, and laicized in January 2025 according to the Rhode Island Attorney General. The indult fraternity’s stonewalling reveals not an aberration, but the logical fruit of its canonical surrender to the conciliar sect.

The Indult’s Complicity in the Conciliar Rot

The FSSP presents itself as a bastion of “tradition” within the structures of the neo-church. Yet its very existence depends on recognitio from the usurpers occupying the Vatican — from John XXIII through the current antipope Leo XIV (Robert Prevost). By accepting the “legitimacy” of the post-conciliar hierarchy, the FSSP has bound itself to a paramasonic structure whose novus ordo liturgy, false ecumenism, and religious liberty have devastated the vineyard. The silence on Jackson is not prudence; it is institutional self-preservation at the expense of souls. A true ecclesia militans would proclaim the crime from the rooftops as a call to penance; a sect of compromise manages public relations.

Linguistic Evasion as Theological Symptom

The Pillar’s language — “declined to disclose details,” “mum on Jackson laicization” — mirrors the bureaucratic obfuscation endemic to the conciliar church. No mention of scandalum given to the faithful, no reference to the salus animarum (salvation of souls) as the supreme law (Canon 1752, 1917 Code). The vocabulary is that of a civil liability manager, not a supernatural society. The FSSP’s refusal to answer questions is the modus operandi of a body that has internalized the modernist hermeneutic of ambiguity, where truth is negotiable and accountability optional.

Theological Bankruptcy of the “Recognized” Traditionalism

Pius XI teaches in Quas Primas (1925) that “peace is only possible in the kingdom of Christ” and that “when God and Jesus Christ were removed from laws and states… the foundations of that authority were destroyed”. The FSSP, by recognizing the false popes who have enthroned laicism and religious indifferentism as governing principles, participates in the very abomination of desolation prophesied. Its priests are ordained in the novus ordo rite of Paul VI (1968) or conditionally re-ordained, its faculties derive from “bishops” who have defected from the faith (Canon 188.4), and its apostolate legitimizes the Church of the New Advent. The Jackson case is not a failure of individuals; it is the inevitable harvest of a compromised foundation.

St. Robert Bellarmine, cited in the defense of sedevacantism, declares: “A manifest heretic cannot be Pope… he cannot be the head of something of which he is not a member” (De Romano Pontifice 2:30). The FSSP’s recognition of the manifest heretics occupying the Holy See since 1958 places it outside the una, sancta, catholica. Its “traditional” Mass becomes a theatrical simulacrum, divorced from the sacerdotium of the true Church, offered in communion with antichrists. As the Syllabus of Pius IX condemns: “The Church is not a true and perfect society… but it appertains to the civil power to define what are the rights of the Church” (Error 19). The FSSP accepts this subjection, making its “autonomy” a fiction granted by the neo-church.

Symptomatic Level: The Fruit of False Obedience

The silence on Jackson is the same silence kept on the Masonic operation “Fatima” — the false apparitions used to divert attention from the modernist apostasy within, as documented in the theological objections. The FSSP promotes Fatima, the “consecration of Russia” by false popes, and the whole ecumenical apparatus. It ignores St. Pius X’s warning in Lamentabili sane exitu (1907) against the “synthesis of all errors” that is Modernism. By refusing to denounce the conciliar popes as heretics who have ipso facto lost office (Cum ex Apostolatus Officio, Paul IV; Canon 188.4), the FSSP becomes an enabler of the Great Apostasy.

The laicization itself, processed by the “Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith” of the antipope, is a juridical farce. A true Pope would have declared the man a vitandus and handed him over to the secular arm with canonical rigor (Canon 2314). The neo-church’s “laicization” is an administrative dismissal, not a spiritual judgment. The FSSP’s acceptance of this procedure confirms its submission to the counter-church’s fake legality.

No Refuge in Compromise

The faithful seeking the Mass of All Time must understand: the FSSP, the indult “Ecclesia Dei” communities, and the SSPX (which continuously acknowledged the validity of the usurpers) are two sides of the same conciliar coin. They offer the forma of the liturgy while denying the forma of the Church — unity of faith, government, and communion with the true Roman Pontiff. The Jackson scandal, buried in silence, is a mercy of God exposing the void. “You shall know them by their fruits” (Matt 7:16). The fruit is rotten because the tree is grafted onto the wild olive of Vatican II.

“He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters” (Matt 12:30). There is no middle ground. The silence of the FSSP is the silence of the tomb. Requiescant in pace — but not in the peace of Christ the King.
